A giraffe is as tall as a wardrobe - so say the resolute preschoolers, and this is quite right, because young giraffes can easily reach the height of a wardrobe. However, adult giraffes are even taller than many houses! The African elephant, the largest land animal, is heavier than all the furniture in your room and eats only grasses, leaves and sometimes fruit.
